Frank Gifford (1930 – 2015)

In the world of professional football, there are few names that evoke the word legend than Frank Gifford who in 2008, The Atlantic put him on its short list of pro football’s founding fathers. Many may know Gifford as a legendary football player devoted to the New York Giants. Others like myself, may hear his name and think of his 27 years on Monday Night Football. For those who missed the news, Frank passed away in August, of natural causes at his Connecticut home.

As rugged and handsome Gifford was in the 90s, it wasn't until his embarrassing affair with airline stewardess Suzen Johnson in 1997 that he caught my attention. The supermarket tabloid Globe ran a front-page story exposing, with photos and a transcript, Gifford's sexual tryst with a sexy, married, 46-year-old TWA flight attendant named Suzen Johnson. The one-time encounter was allegedly arranged, paid for, and taped by The Globe and Johnson reported paid between $75,000 to $125,000 for her story. This was before sex tapes were a big thing so the tabloid stupidly didn't cam up the bedroom. Before and after pics are fine and dandy but I wanted to see the deed on film. The photos appeared to show the ex-football great groping the curvy Johnson. And she graphically described performing oral on Frank. On a later interview on the Howard Stern show, Johnson said Frank wanted anal and was great in bed. Hell, if he wanted all that. I could have given that to him and keep my mouth shut (about the affair that is).

Following his embarrassing affair with airline stewardess Suzen Johnson in 1997, Gifford was replaced in the broadcast booth by Boomer Esiason in 1998 and pretty much out of the public light until his death.

He was married to television host Kathie Lee Gifford from 1986 until his death.

Mmm... Dan Lauria and Frank. I can work with that.

I wonder if Kathie Lee let Frank do her in the ass after the affair.
